I begin this entrance into the world of blogging with a bit of timidity. I am not a blogger by nature. I'm known as "old fashioned" and have always shunned the virtual world created by the Internet. I check my email and do the occasional search on google but aside from that I prefer a good book and a face to face conversation over a cup of joe. This is new for me. Putting myself out there for the world to read. You are likely asking yourelf (if you are still reading this) "Why? Pray tell are you writing then?"

It started over four years ago. I was preparing for a ladies retreat hosted by the church I was attending. My husband and I were both reading in the book of Psalms one night as we lay in bed. The same verse jumped out at both of us. "It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect. He maketh my feet like hinds' feet and setteth me upon my high places. He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken in mine arms." Psalm 18:32-34. I felt and he confirmed that this was something God was trying to show me for the weekend and beyond. God wants to use my hands.

The theme of God using my hands has come up a number of times since that time. I believe the Lord has been patiently calling me to write. So in the vastness of the world wide web, I am unsure if my little blog will even be read but I am stepping out in faith and obedience to use my hands for His glory.
